Back again with a few more photos, this time of the house (more so the garden) & the guys that helped me clean it up.
second from the left is Ogi who works at Hostel Mostel. His Mum is the lady on the far right & the other guys are his mates.
Ogi is a good laugh! He is teaching me Bulgarian & I teach him English. If he was back in NZ he would be your typical forestry worker in Tokaroa.
The work wagon,
Hey Jae! What do U reckon?
These guys came about 15km from another village with the horse & wagon. We broke out with the scythes & cut all the grass down in a few hours.
Godfreys mowers wouldn't do much business in these parts ;)
Plenty of pears & plumbs! last year because of the drought there was hardly anything.
There's also a huge walnut tree, but they won't be ready by the time I leave.
All in all it was a pretty productive day & good fun working with the Gypsies.
They are a friendly bunch.
Now I'm wondering just when the roof will get some attention...... I'll get back to yous later on that one.....
