I'm trying to make a concerted effort to keep this blog more up to date this summer, since last summer was a bit of a lame effort.
Anyways, it's always great to be back here in Veliko Tarnovo, for me a paradise in many ways & which I hope will never come to an end! (Ok ok, all good things come to an end, I know.)
This summer I'm finding it very difficult to write about life here.

For me it's awesome to be able to live in such a place, but at the same time for those around me it's a totally different world, for some it's been a complete living hell!
I arrived at the hostel a couple of weeks ago & all looked good, until it became apparent that Rossi wasn't around. Ogi was looking worried & distant...
Some of you will know a little about Ogi & Rossi.
Rossi had a horrible battle with cancer two winters back & last summer she seemed to be on the road to recovery.
What I wasn't aware of, was that she had to go back for two more operations over the last winter and is now at this moment back in the Sofia hospital.
It's really hard to get detailed & precise information, but from what I can gather, it's not looking good.

Really I don't know what to say or do here, but I have this conviction that doing nothing would be far from the right thing!
In terms of practical help I know that some of you back home were willing to be involved in some sort of help.
I'm struggling to get my thoughts across on this, my main concern back then been, that any financial aid actually is used for the purpose intended & also the perception that westerners are easy with their money was a worry, but the latter now is much more of trivial problem.
I'm just bouncing thoughts around right now & any feedback from those of you who have followed Rossi's struggle is appreciated.
Please keep her & Ogi in your thoughts, :(
In the meantime I will try & keep you all up to date specifically on this matter.
